The Highland Mills Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary announces the establishment of the Patty Hand Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has been established in collaboration with the Hand Family in loving memory of Patty Hand, a cherished past member whose unwavering strength, deep compassion, and enduring commitment to community left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Through this award, we honor Patty’s legacy by supporting individuals who embody the values she lived by and continue the spirit of service and kindness she so generously shared.
This award will be presented to two outstanding Monroe-Woodbury students AND two outstanding Cornwall students who reside in Woodbury. These students will be recognized not only for their scholastic achievements but also for their dedication to uplifting others and making a positive impact in their environment.
Recipients need to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and should posess traits that exemplify:
* Strong moral character and integrity
* Perseverance in the face of challenges
* A deep commitment to their friends and community
Eligible seniors in Monroe-Woodbury and Cornwall schools should visit their school’s scholarship portal or contact their Guidance Office for more information. Deadlines are established by your school’s Guidance Office. Winners will be announced on the night of the school’s scholarship presentation and the monetary award will be presented to the winners that night.
